Adult Swim IDs are short promotional pieces created to pay tribute to their original series, through collaborations with independent animation studios around the world. In 2023, Lucy Animation Studio produced a set of these IDs, and I had the opportunity to be part of the team—one dedicated to Primal, another to Teenage Euthanasia, and an original concept titled Carnivorous. My contributions were distributed across all three, with a broader and more transversal role in Primal, where I collaborated from the early development phases through to the final product.

Based on the cult series Primal, created by Genndy Tartakovsky, this ID presents a physical and visceral action sequence that honors the original style while reinterpreting it through a distinct art direction. I participated as assistant director, working closely with the director to ensure visual and narrative coherence throughout the piece.
My responsibilities included:
-
Supporting the validation of the storyboard and visual narrative defined by the lead artist
-
Creating visual documentation on proportions, gestures, and abilities of the original series’ characters
-
Proposing and refining the line style for clean-up, which was adopted by the technical team in Toon Boom Harmony
-
Assisting in decisions regarding tone, visual rhythm, and their translation into 2D animation style

This animation, inspired by the universe of Teenage Euthanasia, proposed an original visual style—more graphic and stylized, in line with Adult Swim’s most experimental aesthetic standards. I worked as a clean-up artist, refining linework and adjusting volumes based on a newly developed visual design.
My responsibilities included:
-
Vectorizing and closing linework in assigned scenes
-
Technical adjustments while preserving the expressive intent of the new style
-
Collaborating with the team to maintain visual consistency throughout the ID’s flow

Carnivorous is a free-format piece developed internally by Lucy Animation Studio. Unlike the other Adult Swim IDs, this one introduced an original visual language, heavily influenced by psychedelic and symbolic aesthetics. I participated as part of the clean-up team, working on scenes rich in texture, visual distortion, and symbolic mutation.
My responsibilities included:
-
Cleaning and refining rough animation
-
Technical adjustments to volumes and final details in key sequences
-
Supporting the final line work to ensure visual cohesion within an unconventional style

These collaborations allowed me to integrate into professional workflows within the international animation industry. I worked in highly organized production environments with specialized teams across different areas, which enabled me to contribute both through visual coordination and technical execution—adapting to diverse styles, visual languages, and contemporary approaches to art direction.
